Photos from Ferriby & Swanland Scout Group’s post

The scouts have been sailing today at Welton Waters with tuition from the Humberside Scouts county sailing team. We had a glorious morning’s sailing in the lovely sunshine and though the windy weather unfortunately stopped us from going back out in the sail boats in the afternoon, the sailing team were good enough to treat them all to a fun ride round the lake in Rory the safety boat. We got wet a couple of times (excluding the capsize drill) but then it is British summer weather after all and we didn’t let a little thing like rain spoil the fun – we went prepared.
Thanks to David, Andy, Andy, Brian and Alan(?) Raywell Park Activity Centre for a great day and for helping the scouts achieve their staged sailing activity badge level 2.
