Photos from Ferriby & Swanland Scout Group’s post

Some of our older scouts went out yesterday for a practice hike in preperation for next month’s Wolds Challenge and for one or two of them it was their first hike at a longer distance (about 10 mile). It was hard going in places thanks to the type of mud that would make a hippo happy; plus they encountered the local wildlife in the form of cattle, sheep and alpacas (!), not to mention the local hunt out for a ride, but they all did brilliantly. They were all still smiling at the end, then again that could have been the promise of an ice-cream on the way home.
Well done lads and thanks to Josh our GSL who walked with them despite being called in to work the night before and not getting much sleep.
