Minutes of the Explorer Scout Leaders’ Meeting, 20/3/18

Partnership Agreements & Accounts:
Each Explorer Unit needs to have these.

DESC needs to see partnership agreements and accounts by 29^th April.

Termly Programmes:
Please email details of your programmes to DESC asap, so some groups can get together for certain activities.

OSM:
90% of Groups now on OSM. Leaders to have own section, District will message Leaders, Leaders to pass on info to Explorers.

Young Leaders:
Young Leaders must be at least 14. They all need to complete their Mod A training within 3 months of becoming a Young Leader. Training is through Humberside.
1^st – 3^rd June: Raywell, Mods F-I Young Leader training weekend (Mod A on Saturday)
14^th-16^th September: Raywell, Mods B-E Young Leader training weekend (Mod A on Saturday)
30^th Nov-2^nd Dec: Raywell, Mods F-I Young Leader training weekend (Mod A on Saturday)

Additional District Mod A training at Camp Craft, Saturday 19^th May – booking via DESCYL

2^nd June:                              DofE Drop In Day for Leaders, Raywell, 2pm-5pm
6^th-8^th July:                          Gilwell 24-See below
12^th July:                              Blacktoft Beacon District AGM and Rewards Ceremony, William’s Den, 7pm
12^th-14^th October:            Fells Marathon, Edale
11^th November:                Remembrance Sunday, Beverley Minister

Gilwell 24:
There are 2 options: Option 1: £80- Transport/Ticket/ £5 meal home
Option2: £100- As above plus all food.
Deadline for numbers- 20^th April
Deadline for payment- 29^th April

Yellow & Orange Cards:
There are up to date versions that all adults/Young Leaders should have.

District Leaders’ Meeting:
Miana Kirby, County Special Needs Advisor, will be attending the meeting to discuss additional needs, especially Autism.

Camp craft:
Explorers can camp Friday to Sunday and will help run some of the activities.
Mod A will be run on Saturday morning; YLs can just attend the training.
£10- Camp, BBQ on Saturday evening and activities.
Explorers to cater for themselves and will need to cook a 3 course meal on the Saturday.
