Cubs – 8 to 10.5 Years Old
Howden Cubs are an extremely active Cub pack in the historic town of Howden. We have have a number or Cubs gain their 50 nights away with the section as we have at least one camp a month.
Kipling Cubs is for boys and girls aged 8 to 10 1/2 years. During their time at Kipling Cubs to Cub Scouts can achieve their Chief Scouts Silver Award, through the balanced programme we provide. The Cubs can attend both our winter and summer camp during their time with us
Simba Cubs is for boys and girls aged 8 to 10 1/2. During their time at Simba Cubs all Cub Scouts can achieve their Chief Scouts Silver Award, through the balanced programme we provide. All Cub Scouts have an opportunity to attend both our Winter and Summer Camps
We do all kinds of activities including; camping(weekends mainly), water activities, climbing, abseiling, orienteering, archery, walking, sports, crafts, knots, pioneering. You will make lots of friends and visit interesting places. We do have a behaviour policy in place. We do go out for walks and parent are encouraged to come. All parents are DBS cleared – this is a police check through the Scout Association. We understand It is essential that parents know the young members are safe under the supervision of others.
Our section offers a dynamic and engaging programme of activities both indoor and outdoor including: Hiking, crafts, map work, cooking on fires, abseiling, first aid, DIY, science, pioneering and many more. This allows the Cubs to develop a wide range of Scouting and life skills. The programme allows the Cubs to earn a wide range of badges and work for the Chief Scout Silver award. The Pack also offers several residential opportunities each year with camps in May, July and November.
The Cub section is for boys and girls between 8 and 10½ years old. Cherokee benefits from a strong and skilled Leadership team who are all DBS cleared. Anyone wishing to offer adult support is always welcome.
South Cave Cubs are youngsters aged 8 – 10½ years who make up the second section of the Scouting family, between Beavers and Scouts.
The varied and fun programme of activities; both indoor and outdoor provides the Cubs with an opportunity to earn a range of challenge and activity badges, whilst working towards their Chief Scout Silver Award.

Cubs is the second section of the Scouting movement, originally started in 1916 for younger brothers who wanted a ‘look-in’. Today Cubs is one of the most popular sections in scouting allowing young people to work together in groups called Sixes, developing their leadership and team work skills as they undertake a wide range of activities and adventures.
