Leonard Cheshire is one of the partners of the award winning A Million Hands project, and we have a residential home here in our District that is looking for support.

Leonard Cheshire Disability’s, Godfrey Robinson House is a residential home in North Ferriby for 19 physically disabled adults, who all have a real zest for life and rely on volunteers to help them achieve their goals.

They are asking for help from our sections this coming Christmas or anytime that suits you throughout the year.  Christmas time is especially busy for the home and they could help your young people achieve their Community Impact and Disability Awareness badges by volunteering at the service. The young people would bring along fun and energy into the home, a great boost for the residents.

They would love to have you visit to help in various ways. Services throughout the country have benefited from groups getting involved with:

  • Halloween
  • Bonfire Night
  • Christmas Celebrations
  • New Year’s Eve

The home prides its self on its Christmas decoration display every year, maybe your group could help them make some new decorations and put them up, provide some entertainment, games, run a fate or bazaar? Services have had groups visiting Leonard Cheshire services to sing Christmas carols with and for the residents.

If your section or group could help in anyway, then please contact Julie Fenton on 01482 632209 or julie.fenton@leonardcheshire.org
